One contest entry is ₹499. That is the only charge on this site. There is no subscription, no renewal, and nothing is billed automatically.

What ₹499 gets you
- One story submitted to the current contest
- Consideration by our judging panel against the published criteria
- Publication on Kathaparva if your story is selected
- Eligibility for the prizes listed in the contest rules
What it does not get you
- A guarantee of publication, selection, or a prize
- Multiple entries — each additional story is a separate ₹499
- Editing, feedback, or a critique of your submission
- Any transfer of rights in your story to us. You keep those.
How you pay
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. You will receive a payment confirmation by email with a reference number — keep it, as you will need it for any query about the payment.
